Established by and operating at the direction of Mayor Glover, the Beautification Department works to make Carlisle a cleaner and prettier place to live. Utilizing community service workers and prisoner labor, the Beautification Department does everything from the watering of plants and trees to litter removal, from cleaning ditches to sweeping streets, all in an effort to make the city more attractive.
