DEPUTY COURT CLERK

Deputy Court Clerk - The City of Carlisle is now accepting applications for a full-time deputy court clerk. Applicants must have High School Diploma/GED, clerical skills, computer and accounting experience. Prior experience in court or office management setting is preferred. The successful applicant will be reliable, organized, and have excellent people skills.  The City of Carlisle is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Review and reply to mail-email

Answering court related questions for defendants

Ticket/Docket Entry

Issuing & entering receipts for payments made

Filing

Preparing/reviewing court dockets and certified documents such as

v       subpoenas

v       small claims civil actions

v       dockets

v       background checks

v       warrants

v       criminal summons

v       affidavits  

v      Weekly Deposits  

Manage the court schedule (trial, court dates, etc)  

Processing after court dispositions

v      Pleas / dispositions

v       Time payment contracts

v      Probation

v       Failure to appear/pay warrants

v       Community Service

v       Forfeit bonds

  End of Month Reporting

v      Receipts (manual & computer)

v      Following end month procedures

v      Prepare & mail out reports & checks

v      Reconcile Bank statements  

v      Phones

v      Documentation  

v      Computer skills & Scanning
