In keeping with our efforts to promote Carlisle, we've recently adopted a new city logo with the motto "Land Here."  Land Here takes on several meanings to the city and its residents:

1.  With its location on the fertile Grand Prairie, the land around Carlisle has, for more than 130 years, sustained the city and its people and been so important to its historically agricultural economy;

2.  With an eye toward moving forward in the 21st century and diversifying our position in the marketplace, the city has obtained options on land available for industrial and economic development; and

3.  Carlisle is very proud of its airport, which is constantly improving in the services it provides to the aviation community.  So, if you have an airplane, we quite literally want you to land here!

Carlisle's people are caring, friendly,  and hard-working.  We still embrace old-fashioned values, but at the same time are committed to seeing our city move forward and progress.

If you are looking for a great place to build a house and raise a family, Carlisle has a lot to offer.  With its close proximity to Little Rock, good schools, responsive city services, and affordable building sites, Carlisle is the perfect hometown.  If you are a business owner looking to relocate or expand your business, you'll find an accommodating city government, with a "can do" attitude, that is ready to help you achieve your goals.
